Andrea & Rone Are Getting Married

cpicture stripan you believe that we're getting married?

Crazy, I know, but true.

First, we would like to thank all of our friends and family for helping us celebrate this event and, most importantly, for helping us get to this point in our lives. If you're reading this, you have likely played a role in making us the people that we are, and therefore, the couple that we have become. And to help further demonstrate our appreciation, we insist on feeding you, and, if you're interested, serving you as many free drinks as you can stomach.

Andrea's parents are kindly allowing us to hold the ceremony and celebration at their beautiful piece of property on Whidbey Island, which, depending on traffic and ferry schedules, is about an hour and a half north of Seattle, just outside of Langley, WA. Our ceremony will overlook the Saratoga Passage, a whale migration route through Puget Sound, and provide stunning views of Mt. Baker and the rest of the North Cascades. There will be plenty to see and do, even if you usually find weddings boring and hackneyed.

Trust us.

We realize that having an island wedding in the extreme northwest of the U.S. might lead to travel awkwardness, and we apologize in advance for any difficulties. It really shouldn't be that bad though. The thing we want guests to be most aware of is how the ferries operate. You may drive on or walk on a ferry. If you walk on, someone will need to provide you with a lift from the ferry terminal to the wedding. This won't be a problem, but we will need to know in advance that you're going to need a ride. This link will provide you with schedules and fares.

Likewise, the ferry wait, especially on a weekend in August, could be an hour or longer. Please, please, please give yourselves plenty of time to get on a ferry. We'd hate for you to miss the wedding because you were sitting in your car for an hour and a half in the ferry parking lot. The same considerations apply for returning to the mainland. For instance, if you have a flight leaving on Sunday, and you spend Saturday night on Whidbey, you will need to give yourself at least 2 hours to even get to the airport, plus additional time to pass through airport security. We just want everyone to keep these things in mind. Groovy?

Excellent.
